Message to upcoming techies!

Before I raise my understanding level to meet the most talented pool of this world, I would appreciate if this write up is a healthy debate:). With new technologies and innovative disruptive technologies emerging to ping us every time for a “CHANGE”. Its time for change and we need to understand the underlying morals to handle the space. Its disappointing to find the new generation techies taking the job for granted, the attitude says something like this “I must get this, I must be getting this, and this company which delivers and that company which worries my emotions”:) Surprised and confused to identify resources these days, Yes, the BIG idea fails! How to handle this?

“My only advice, run after projects, u will see your job satisfaction
we make mistake going by face of company…rather than credible object we can get to work on.”
 1. Good Project- Criterias- full fledge end to end consulting area with client with a good team. This is rare due to market scenario. 2. Good Salary- Do not depends on what project you work these days, rather on the way you have managed the top bracket and your skill areas to extract more amount. I am sticking to “projects”  as recession, depression wont hamper if you are into good project rather than just tag of a company Logo. Indian resources got a poor habit of estimating their efforts more than what company has set. The point is the CTC defined by big service companies got into the minds of most of the people in Indian market and that has halted the thinking process. The resources are taking the continuing CTC as granted whether they deliver or don’t. Small companies struggle to make them learn, and still the big glasses attracts faster then learning even in early days. I do not discard the warmth and feeling of a good ambiance, but the priority initially is “LEARNING”.

We will not have per hour billing soon for lot of projects running in India. Client demands, milestone of projects vs payments and no billing formula for resources.  I hope you all are getting the practical scenario.  I am facing conferences and  I understand where we lack as a company  but the point is, we have to set our flexibility! But, change the way you think, unless you set sacrifices to your belt, no company and team will gel in for futuristic projects demand of the consumers, and their we stand with resources who understand the need. A company not just fighting for itself, but for investors/stakeholders, Employees, etc etc…and moreover we have to get a realistic model to work.
Your key edge: 1. Open to new Learning 2. Understanding multiple platforms as an analyst to help developers adapt solution based approach 3. Good knowledge on Cloud , BI etc 4. Deployment & Client Communication on technical support.
Compel companies to pay, retain and pamper you:)
